FAQ

Q: What is Volvo On Call (for Volvo owners)?
A: The Volvo On Call road service plan is an emergency service plan designed to protect you from the cost of breakdowns by getting your Volvo to a Volvo repair facility with minimal "out-of-pocket" expense.

Q: Why is On Call unique?
A: It is unique because:

  • It covers anyone driving your Volvo with your permission.
  • It ensures that there will be minimal "out-of-pocket" expense incurred for road and tow service as a result of an untimely breakdown.
Q: What does Cross Country Motor Club have to do with my Volvo On Call Plan?
A: Volvo has selected the Cross Country Motor Club to provide Volvo On Call benefits, including a nationwide network of service providers through one phone number, 1-800-638-6586.

Q: Do I get emergency road and towing service on any car I drive?
A: Volvo On Call applies only to your Volvo, and therefore cannot cover any other vehicles.

Q: How much does Volvo On Call cost me?
A: Volvo On Call is standard equipment with new Volvos. After the initial 4-year period you will have the option of renewing annually at the then applicable rate.

Q: What is 1-800-638-6586?
A: It's a 24-hour toll-free centralized dispatch number that the plan member can call for emergency service. It's the only number you need to call.

Q: What towing options do I have?
A: You can have your Volvo towed:
  • To the closest authorized Volvo Retailer, regardless of the distance.
  • To the driver's choice of retail facility within a 25-mile radius from point of disablement.
  • At your request to any destination. However, all mileage charges over 10 miles are the responsibility of the owner and are not reimbursable.
Q: How do I obtain Volvo On Call emergency road service on my new Volvo?
A: All requests for service must be made through 1-800-638-6586. As a plan member, you do not have the option of obtaining service directly on your own.

Q: Do I have the option of finding service on my own?
A: Only if Cross Country Motor Club's dedicated service is not available and Cross Country Motor Club has authorized the service through the 1-800-638-6586 operator. If this situation occurs you will be reimbursed up to a maximum of $100.00.

Q: Can I get service on my Volvo even if I'm not driving?
A: Yes. The Volvo On Call plan covers your Volvo for emergency road and towing service, regardless of who is driving, provided the person uses 1-800-638-6586.

Q: What is Trip Interruption Guarantee?
A: If your Volvo is involved in an accident, collision, or Volvo mechanical breakdown 150 miles or more from home and must be towed, you will be reimbursed for a maximum of $500.00 (that's $250.00 each for you and your spouse) for local meals, local lodging and/or car rental, and/or commercial transportation costs incurred up to 72 hours (three days) after the occurrence.
